Veteran Profile

William E. (Bill) Carmody is the CEO and founder of First Generation, a multi-million dollar integrated marketing communications company. Mr. Carmody has grown First Generation from a small video production enterprise into a multi-tiered marketing communications company that now boasts 42 employees, satellite offices, and many fortune 500 companies as clients.

Before starting First Generation in 1987, Bill worked at HealthEast Communications first as Chief Engineer and then as President. Prior to that, he worked as an Audio Visual Technician for Air Products and Chemicals. While at Air Products, he attended Kutztown University for Telecommunications.

From 1977-1984, Bill served in the U.S. Army. He worked in the Military Intelligence section of CSC 1/509 AIRBORNE, Vicenza, Italy as a Ground Surveillance Radar Operator, and later as a Team Leader. Upon re-enlistment, he attended Radio Television Specialist School at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, finishing at the top of his class. Bill completed his service at Ft. Gordon GA, where he edited training programs for the combined services.

Mr. Carmody’s military legacy guides his leadership style of the First Generation team. Under his philosophy of “Customer First,” First Generation is recognized as a thought leader in the marketing and training disciplines.
